The Vandyke Process

Invented in 1842 by Sir John Herschel, an English astronomer. It's old and wonderful and dreamlike. It's also done in a darkroom which is a wonderful thing. To expose, you can use the sun's UV rays. Each image is hand coated on watercolor paper then dried then exposed and developed and dried again.By the way, these were all taken in Sonoma.
